Position: Software/System Engineer (Flexible Workload)

Your Role:

As a Software/System Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in projects from inception to deployment and ongoing operations. Collaborating within a skilled engineering team, you'll develop services that enhance the performance, availability, and security of our customers' networks autonomously.

Specializing in developing and managing highly scalable, globally deployed web security solutions, you'll be integral to the core team, shaping web security services for our extensive customer base. Your tasks will include product integration and the development of tools and management infrastructure.

This role offers involvement in product development from conception through production deployment and operations. In addition to development duties, you'll have the opportunity to obtain certification as a Mission Control Engineer, broadening your expertise across networking and security topics. This certification may entail three-month deployments to our Network Operations Centers in Honolulu, Hawaii.

Your Profile:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• Proficiency with scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python, Perl) and programming languages (e.g., Go, Rust, C, Java, C++) Hands-on experience with Linux or UNIX-based operating systems
• Familiarity with networking principles (OSI Model)
• Fluent in English; proficiency in other languages is an asset
• Strong team player with adaptability and curiosity
• Interest in Security, cybersecurity, SASE, or SSE (Software/System Engineering)

Bonus Points:

Candidates passionate about IT and interested in Security and SASE are highly desired. Additional qualifications considered advantageous include:

• Background in system administration or engineering in Linux or UNIX-based operating systems
• Knowledge of network protocols and technologies such as TCP/IP, TLS, DNS, and HTTPS
• Familiarity with software and system testing practices (CI/CD)
• Experience with agile development cycles
• Familiarity with Next-Generation Firewall, WAN Encryption & Routing, Traffic Identification, and Traffic Optimization
• Understanding of network security concepts and practices
• Knowledge of container and cloud technologies (Kubernetes, Helm, Argocd, Terraform)
