Job Description
The Global Wellbeing Lead will manage Takeda’s global programming across all dimension's employee Wellbeing (Emotional, Physical, Social, Financial). Serve as the champion for Wellbeing amplifying programming within HR and across the organization. Manage core programmatic offerings and vendor relationships, partnering with key stakeholders to promote and advance wellbeing priorities.This role will provide opportunity to develop and refine programming, and to drive outcomes through multiple channels, partnerships and key parts of the HR operating model.Accountabilities include:
- Manage and refine Takeda’s Wellbeing operating framework, leveraging market trends, internal HR expertise, and business partnerships to ensure we move forward with a creative, culturally relevant, and a results-oriented approach to promoting employee wellbeing at Takeda.
- Lead the development of programs in support of strategic priorities across our businesses and geographies. Ensure these programs continually evolve in support of changing employee needs, global trends, and business priorities.
- Develop and leverage expert knowledge of market trends, academic research, and competitor best practices to help continually evolve the effectiveness of wellbeing programs at Takeda.
- Partner with HR analytics to refine relevant datasets and personae to create meaningful analytics on the impact of wellbeing activities to help shape and refine future strategic direction.
- Partner with key HR partners (Global Benefits, Learning, Talent Development, DE&I, etc.) to ensure that Wellbeing is integrated into all aspects of employee management and HR programs across the company.
- Oversee program and vendor selection and management, relationships and contracts, maximizing programs and services while managing the budget.
- Support EAP vendor program, ensuring wellbeing priorities are represented in EAP offerings and that the programs are consistent and mutually reinforcing our wellbeing strategic goals.
- Develop employee communications and engagement efforts in collaboration with Communications, Talent, Global Benefits, and DE&I, with regards to Wellbeing and Belonging initiatives including content development; writing and distribution of emails, intranet, blog, newsletters, e-boards, etc.; message distribution, events/activations, video production, etc.
- Develop approaches to measure engagement and the value of wellbeing initiatives and support the development of KPIs
Basic Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree is required. An advanced degree is highly desirable (MBA, Master’s/Ph.D. in HR, or health care related discipline).
- A minimum of 8 years of progressive business experience. Experience designing, managing and implementing HR strategies or Employee Health Care / Wellbeing programs is required. Health care marketing can be another area of experience.
- Vendor management experience is desired.
- Proven ability to think strategically and to translate strategic directives into tactical initiatives and broad Employee Value proposition communication strategies.
- Strong collaboration skills across business lines and geographies.
- Excellent executive presentation skills, ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely, and to influence others to think through problems, improvement opportunities, solutions, and plans
- Ability to work with a high degree of independence to plan, organize and implement multiple projects within time and budget constraints.
- Global scope and experience are desired
- This role is hybrid to Cambridge/Lexington, MA or Zurich, Switzerland and requires being in the office a minimum of 5 days per month.

U.S. Base Salary Range:
149,100.00 - 234,300.00
The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.
U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/ or long-term incentives. U.S. based employees may be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others. U.S. based employees are also eligible to receive, per calendar year, up to 80 hours of sick time, and new hires are eligible to accrue up to 120 hours of paid vacation.
