Technology Lead, Data42
Summary
We are seeking a Technology Lead Data42 to be responsible for overseeing the design, development, and integration of the technical platform architecture Data42 program. This includes operating and evolving a scalable and robust platform architecture around Palantir Foundry and already integrated systems such as F1 HPC, Eclipse etc. as well as creating and implementing a connectivity roadmap to other R&D systems that meet the program's technical as well as R&D user requirements.
This role will work directly with the NX Engineering team and reports to the Executive Director, RX Engineering and Head data42
About the Role
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement and maintain a platform architecture strategy for the Data42 program, including evolving a scalable and robust platform architecture.
- Develop and implement a data management strategy for data42 and beyond to ensure data types have a defining source system and where applicable data assets can be transferred between data42 and other BR systems to enable required analytical use cases, i.e. ensure system connectivity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that the platform architecture and data management processes are integrated with other business processes and systems across the RDC continuum and meet the required InfoSec and data governance requirements, i.e. ensure the highest standards of data governance, security, and compliance are maintained.
- Ensure the platform meets the program's technical requirements by implementing and monitoring performance metrics, minimizing waste of computational hours and by addressing any technical issues to ensure high availability.
- Integrate new technologies into the existing architecture as required in close collaboration with DDIT and RX as required by use case delivery.
- Ensure optimal use of available Foundry tools and influence Palantir Foundry roadmap
- Develop and maintain platform architecture documentation, including architecture diagrams, technical specifications, design documents. Ensure platform is audit ready at all times.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the technology teams.
Essential Requirements:
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- At least 15+ years of experience in platform architecture and data management within Life Science.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into actionable plans
- Strong leadership skills, with experience leading and managing large, cross-functional, globally dispersed teams consisting of internal and external personnel with or without formal reporting lines (as platform architecture team is with DDIT)
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address architectural and data issues.
- Knowledge of industry trends and best practices in platform architecture and data management.
- Ability to drive structured experiments with new technologies and approaches to deliver on the innovation agenda of data42.
